Expanded rib metals
Catnic ribbed expanded metals — of cold rolled strip steel, electrogalvanized or of stainless steel —can be used in many places also in concrete and reinforced concrete.
As permanent formwork, for instance, they form a cost and time-saving alternative to other usual constructions. Experienced concrete designers know of this and have the cost advantage on their side: with Catnic ribbed expanded metals!
Plaster carriers are used over the whole or part of the surface. They must be permanently fixed to the carrying underground. The ribs must not overlap 10 cm. Instead the ribs must be laid inside each other. When fastening, movements and stresses of the underground must not ne allowed to be transferred to the plaster shell. The ribbed expanded metal can be cut with a metal shears. The back of the ribs must face the underground. The ribs act as spacersr.
A plaster thickness of at least 15 mm must be adhered to on the viewing side.
The expanded rib metals must be stored in dry and well ventilated spaces.
